We believe in mapping our products out into simple systems that are easy to navigate. Our Delta 8 collection is broken into 3 simple potency tiers that you'll find below. These will be the main tiers that we will continue to expand into as we develop and create new products.
Our hemp derived Delta 8 THC products are available to ship to your state. Must be 21 years of age or older to purchase.
The 2018 Farm Bill made all hemp-derived cannabinoids, isomers, and other derivatives completely legal in the United States with a caveat: all products must contain .3% THC or less. Specifically, products can have a maximum of .3% Delta 9 THC, as Delta 9 is a more psychoactive compound.
All Delta 8 THC products sold by Vida Optima will always comply with the parameters of the law.

Although it sounds incredibly similar to its cannabinoid cousin, delta-9-THC (the cannabinoid responsible for cannabis’ psychotropic effects), delta-8 has significant differences that may be an advantage. Most significantly, it can be synthesized from CBD that is derived from industrial hemp, a species of the cannabis plant that is now classified as legal in the U.S.
Unlike Delta-9-THC, the psychoactive component in cannabis, delta-8 is not genetically produced via enzyme synthesis in the cannabis plant, Instead, it is produced as THC degrades, similarly to some other minor cannabinoids, like CBN.
There are a few differences and many similarities between the two tetrahydrocannabinols. First, most sources suggest that Delta-8 is only about half as potent as traditional THC, and that it doesn’t frequently lead to the same negative side effects, like paranoia and anxiety.
Many people rationalize that delta-8-THC may offer some very similar benefits to delta-9, but with fewer drawbacks. Delta-8 is also much more shelf-stable than Delta-9, which often makes it easier and more cost-effective to market.
Delta-8-THC's psychotropic effects are a touchy subject. Some sources say that Delta-8’s effects are not nearly as intoxicating as traditional THC doses, rather they are neutrally “euphoric” or “uplifting.”
Technically, delta-8-THC has very similar psychotropic effects that are, as we mentioned earlier, about half as strong as delta-9's. Delta-8 also has a strong affinity for the portion of the Endocannabinoid System that lives in the brain, so yes, Delta-8 technically causes psychoactive effects.
Many people draw a clear distinction between the effects of Delta-8 and Delta-9, suggesting that Delta-8 is not as hazy and sedating, nor is it as strong.
Delta-8-THC is still a rare commodity in most corners of the market, but it's becoming a popular topic among legal hemp producers. Similar to delta-9-THC, delta-8 can be used to make a massive range of different products.
Since it's more difficult to source, it most commonly shows up in products designed to offer a high bioavailability (absorption rate), like vaporizers. It can also be used to create a variety of different cannabinoid products, like Delta-8 edibles, for instance.
Each product type has its own unique benefits. We strive to offer a range of different Delta-8-THC products to help fit our customer's varying needs.
Here are some of the unique benefits of each product type:
Delta-8-THC Candies, like lozenges, dissolve slowly in the mouth, which may allow for greater sublingual absorption. That means that could take effect more quickly than some Delta-8 edibles that are absorbed mostly through digestion.
Delta-8-THC Gummies and Caramels offer a hybrid option that is slowly savored and then swallowed. That means a portion of the active ingredients may be absorbed through the sublingual glands and the rest is digested. Some sources suggest that the effects of edibles last longer when absorbed via the slow digestive process, like when you take Delta-8-THC gummies.
Delta-8-THC Vape Cartsoffer many benefits of their own. These carts are terpene infused to offer unique therapeutics and authentic flavor profiles.
Vaping Delta-8-THC is thought to result in fast-acting, easily controlled effects that last an hour or more. They make a great option for beginners since they can be ingested slowly and the effects can be quickly gauged (in about 15 minutes) before inhaling more.
Delta 8 edibles are by far the most popular consumption method for Delta-8 products, and there are a few reasons why.
All Delta-8 edibles offer one unique benefit: pre-portioned doses. Some offer Delta-8 doses as high as 50 mg, while others (like our Delta-8-THC Gummies) are precisely doses at 10 mg each.
Plus, edibles taste great, meaning there's no hempy aftertaste to deal with.
Edibles take effect more slowly than some methods, like vaporizers, but the effects last longer and are more consistent.
Finally, many of our Delta-8 edibles are individually packaged, so there's no mess, no measuring, and no mix-ups.
Many people use Delta-8 recreationally, while others suggest that they rely on Delta-8’s wellness benefits. This is especially important considering Delta-8 is much more accessible than Delta-9.
Still, Delta-8 is not produced to treat or cure any illness or condition. Always talk to your doctor before integrating Delta-8 into your daily routine, and read more about Delta-8’s benefits before getting started.
Edibles are known for having longer onset times when compared to inhalation methods, but some new edible dosing styles mak kick in faster than you're used to.
Some edibles, like infused cookies or cakes, need to be swallowed and processed by digestion. For this reason, it can take up to two hours to feel the effects.
Alternately, some edibles are designed to dissolve in the mouth so that they can be absorbed by the mucous membranes under the tongue. These edibles may take effect more quickly, in an hour or less.
A Delta-8-THC vaporizer will take effect almost instantly and usually peaks about 15 minutes after dosing.
The effects from Delta-8 have different durations depending on the dosing method used. For instance, when Delta-8 edibles are processed by digestion, like with delta-8 gummies, the effects fade away more slowly. In general, the effects from Delta-8-THC edibles can last anywhere from 4-8 hours depending on dose, tolerance, and other biological factors.
Vaporizers and other inhaled doses wear off more quickly, usually in about two hours.
Federal law suggests that Delta-8-THC that is naturally derived from industrial hemp which contains less than 0.3% Delta-9-THC is legal. Delta-8 exists as an isomer of CBD, which makes it legal according to the 2018 Farm Bill’s definition for “hemp.”
In other words, brands may manufacture and sell delta-8 products made from legal hemp, but you should still be careful to check your local regulations regarding cannabinoid products.
Our Elev8 Delta-8 gummies contain 10 mg of Delta-8-THC, which is a low dose that may be appropriate for beginners and regular users. Plus, the soft, gummy texture means that these doses can be easily split in half to adjust your THC intake as needed.
They come in a 10 count and 30 count bottle so you can buy enough to try or enough to last.
Before you buy Delta-8 from just anywhere, you should know that industry regulation is limited. In an attempt to boost profits, many hemp companies source from off-shore areas where costs and agricultural regulations are both low.
Hemp is a bioaccumulator, which means it's incredibly important that it's grown in clean, healthy soil or it will almost certainly absorb the soil's contaminants, like heavy metals and pesticides. Plus, some brands may skimp on the lab tests and production equipment necessary to make Delta-8 products at a lower cost, but you wouldn't know it by looking at the high price tag.
We try to do it differently, putting accessibility and transparency before profit. Our Delta-8 edible products are made using industry-leading equipment by cannabinoid extraction experts who have decades of experience. We don't cut corners when it comes to the important stuff.
Instead, we save on fancy marketing agencies and other high-ticket add-ons that drive up price tags. That way we can offer you high-quality Delta-8 products at a price you can always afford.
Here's an inside look at how Vida Optima's Elev8 line is made:
We only source hemp that is grown right here in the USA. The material used to make every Vida Optima product is USDA Certified, cGMP compliant hemp grown in Kentucky, Colorado, or Oregon.
After harvest, our high-quality hemp material is sent to our partner cGMP certified manufacturing facility located in California. We use a mixture of flower, whole plant, and biomass material for manufacturing depending on the product and formula.
Before manufacturing can start, our raw hemp material is tested for potency, cannabinoid and terpene profile, and potential contaminants. These initial tests rule out any pesticides, heavy metals, mold, or other contaminants that could make their way into the hemp crop.
After production, a sample from each batch is sent to a third-party lab for another round of testing. This round helps us maintain consistency and ensure that every product is accurate to its label. You'll always find these test results on the product page to view before you buy.
