Delta 8 Flower

Meet our collection of premium CBD flower, infused with hemp derived Delta 8 THC distillate, sending you on a smooth lift through time and space.

Our hemp derived Delta 8 THC flower products are available to ship to your state. Must be 21 years of age or older to purchase.

The 2018 Farm Bill made all hemp-derived cannabinoids, isomers, and other derivatives legal in the United States, but with one caveat: all products must contain 0.3% THC or less.

Specifically, products can have a maximum of 0.3% Delta-9-THC, as Delta 9 produces potent psychoactive effects.

All Delta 8 THC products sold by Vida Optima will always comply with the parameters of the law. Our Delta-8 products meet the current legal threshold for Delta-9 products.

What is Delta-8-THC Flower?

Delta-8-THC Flower is a unique hemp product meant to mimic the aromatic smoking experience of cannabis, but with the milder euphoric effects of Delta-8-THC.

It’s made by infusing premium hemp flower with potent Delta-8-THC distillate to create an arrangement of Delta-8-THC strains, including popular hybrids, sativas, and indicas, that may provide targeted effects.

Although it sounds incredibly similar to its cannabinoid cousin, delta-9-THC, delta-8 has significant differences that may be an advantage for some consumers, especially those who are sensitive to high-THC cannabis products.

Delta-8-THC vs Delta-9-THC

Unlike Delta-9-THC, the psychoactive component in cannabis, delta-8 is not genetically produced via enzyme synthesis in the cannabis plant, Instead, it is produced as THC degrades, similarly to some other minor cannabinoids, like CBN

There are a few differences and many similarities between the two tetrahydrocannabinols. First, most sources suggest that Delta-8 is only about half as potent as traditional THC, and that it doesn’t frequently lead to the same negative side effects, like paranoia and anxiety.

Many people rationalize that delta-8-THC may offer some very similar benefits to delta-9, but with fewer drawbacks. Delta-8 is also much more shelf-stable than Delta-9, which often makes it easier and more cost-effective to market.

Will Delta-8-THC Get You High?

Many people draw a clear distinction between the effects of Delta-8 and Delta-9, suggesting that Delta-8 is not as hazy and sedating, nor is it as strong.

Some argue that Delta-8 is not psychotropic in that it isn’t nearly as intoxicating as traditional THC doses. However, Delta-8-THC is thought to interact with the CB1 receptor in the brain, the main mechanism of THC’s psychotropic effects.

Technically, yes, delta-8-THC will get you high, though the effects are not what you may expect from traditional THC. In fact, the effects are thought to be around half as potent, potentially with fewer drawbacks (like paranoia).

Benefits of Delta-8-THC Flower

While there may be specific therapeutic benefits associated with Delta-8-THC (which you can read about in “Delta-8-THC Health Benefits”), many people are curious to know what benefits Delta-8 flower can provide when compared to other dosing methods (like Delta-8 gummies). Here are some of the reasons you may choose Delta-8 flower over other dosing methods:

Fast Acting

Flower offers fast acting effects, and you can easily smoke as little or as much as you’d like to tailor your experience.

Full Spectrum

Delta-8-THC flower is naturally full spectrum, meaning the flower also contains other cannabinoids, like CBD or CBG, as well as a strain-specific blend of terpenes, which may have their own therapeutic benefits.

Some sources suggest that full-spectrum products could have increased benefits thanks to a phenomenon called the “entourage effect” where cannabinoids have a synergistic reaction with each other.

Aromatic and Targeted

Using flower as opposed to other Delta-8 products allows you to choose from different strains, each of which have different aromatic terpenes that provide a different targeted effect. For instance, indicasare known to be more relaxing, whilesativasare energizing and uplifting. Hybrids are generally more balanced, though they sometimes are sativa or indica dominant.

How is Delta 8 Flower Used?

Delta 8 THC Flower is generally smoked in the same manner that traditional cannabis is used. It can also be used with dry-herb vaping devices.

Many people use Delta-8 flower recreationally, while others suggest that they rely on Delta-8’s potential therapeutic effects, sometimes in the place of traditional THC products. This is especially important considering Delta-8 is much more accessible than Delta-9 in most areas.

It is important to note, however, Delta-8 is not approved to treat or cure any illness or condition. You should always discuss Delta-8 with your doctor before using it for therapeutic purposes, especially if you take medications or have a chronic condition.

How Long Will Delta 8 Flower Take to Kick In After Smoking?

Delta-8 flower offers the benefit of fast acting effects. Inhalation methods, like smoking and vaping, allow Delta-8-THC to be absorbed directly into the bloodstream.

You should feel the effects of Delta 8 THC flower only minutes after smoking, though they may take around 10 minutes to reach peak effect.

How Long Do Delta 8 THC Effects Last After Smoking?

The amount of time that the effects from Delta-8 flower will last depends on varying factors, like your unique metabolism and the dose taken. Still, the effects generally last anywhere from 2-4 hours after smoking Delta 8.

Is Delta 8 THC Flower Legal?

According to federal law, hemp products that contain less than 0.3% Delta-9-THC are legal. The legal definition for hemp includes all cannabinoids, isomers, and other extracts. Because Delta-8 exists as an isomer of CBD, it is legal according to the 2018 Farm Bill’s definition for “hemp.”

In other words, Delta-8-THC is currently legal at the federal level, but every state has the right to create their own laws surrounding hemp products. In some states, Delta-8 is not legal at all. In other states, hemp may not be legal in smokable forms, like flower.

Here's an inside look at how Vida Optima's Elev8 line is made:

Premium Hemp

We only source hemp that is grown right here in the USA. The material used to make every Vida Optima product is USDA Certified, cGMP compliant hemp grown in Kentucky, Colorado, or Oregon.

State of the Art Facilities

After harvest, our high-quality hemp material is sent to our partner cGMP certified manufacturing facility located in California. We use a mixture of flower, whole plant, and biomass material for manufacturing depending on the product and formula.

Thorough Testing and Transparency

Before manufacturing can start, our raw hemp material is tested for potency, cannabinoid and terpene profile, and potential contaminants. These initial tests rule out any pesticides, heavy metals, mold, or other contaminants that could make their way into the hemp crop.

After production, a sample from each batch is sent to a third-party lab for another round of testing. This round helps us maintain consistency and ensure that every product is accurate to its label. You'll always find these test results on the product page to view before you buy.
